Part human,

part technology

What happens to a person's sense of self when part of the body is nonhuman technology? How is decision-making affected by the inter-relationship between the person and the technology? Does a 'third' being arise from the entanglement of the human+technology?

This research explores the relationship between amputees and prosthetic limbs from a posthuman perspective to reveal the complex inter-relationships that contain power struggles, body modifications, distributed agency, shared decision-making and the on-going development of a new subjectivity.
